MALAYALI MUTTON: A Sunday extravaganza.


SHOPPING CART
Mutton: 1kg(medium pieces)
Coconut milk: 2cup
Black pepper: 2 serving
Onion: 4pcs (big ones)
Garlic: 3-4pcs (do)
Dhania/Coriander leaves: 30gm.
Dry Red Chillies: 4 pcs.
Salt: 3 tbsp
Sugar: 1tbsp
Mustard oil: 2 serving spoon.

THE FACTORY WORK
Make a paste with 2 garlics, 2 onions, 25gm coriander leaves and 1 tbsp of pepper with 1 cup of coconut milk,2 red chillies and salt in a mixer.

Wash the meat and pour the paste over it, marinate it for 15mins.

Chop the rest of the onions, garlics and little coriander leaves into small pieces.
Heat oil in a pressure cooker(a non-stick one is preferable).
Fry the veggies along with pepper and 2 red chillies for a minute.
Add the mutton with the paste.
Add 1 tbsp of salt.
Add 1 cup of coconut milk.
Stir and cook the mix for 5-4 mins.
close the lid of the cooker and wait for 6-7 whistles till the meat gets really soft.
open the lid and add 1 tbsp of sugar.
cook it for another couple of minutes in low heat.

BON APPETITE
Garnish with rest of the coriander leaves and chopped tomato.

Serve it with salad rice/jeera rice/roti and curd.

Enjoy a yummy Sunday platter with friends and family after couple of beers !..:)
